We’re starting to see Google’s latest overhaul of Merchant Center and we are really liking the new look and feel of it.

The change was made to the Feed Diagnostics section. Google not only cleaned up the aesthetics, but they also added a lot more ease to filtering (among a few other “upgrades”).

Google Shopping in the EU: What You Need to Know

It was the major talk of the town for a few months this year: The EU’s incredible anti-trust case against Google, but more specifically how Google had to alter Google Shopping in the European market altogether.

(You can read the exact details outlined in a memo released by the European Commission here.)

The bare bones of it all essentially boiled down to the belief that Google was allegedly abusing its market hold over comparison shopping in the EU. The European Commission alleged that Google was “favoring its own content and thus muscling out” its competitors in the various CSEs or Comparison Shopping Engines out there.

The Skinny on Google's Shopping Actions and Google Express

So, we’ve received quite a few questions regarding two of the most interesting ways Google is looking to transform online shopping: Shopping Actions and Google Express.

Shopping Actions, officially announced in March of this year, has essentially taken the place of the now retired Purchases on Google program.

For consumers, Shopping Actions seeks to create a far more seamless purchase journey between Google Search (Shopping too!), and even through Google Assistant such as on Google Home devices.

Essentially, shoppers can leverage the various Google products and platforms to make online purchasing quicker and easier.
