"Final" notices have started going out to merchants who have yet to migrate fully to the new Buy on Google experience with zero commission rates within Merchant Center.
Buy on Google, what was formerly Shopping Actions up until mid December 2020, is finally putting a deadline to its official move to a zero commission model for Google Merchant Center account owners.
Merchants should have received a number of emails over the course of the past few months with respect to the deadline which is now slated for February 17th 2021.
The email (which can also be found within Google Merchant Center) reads as follows:
With this, Google is seemingly working towards establishing a little sense of urgency for merchants who are still lingering around without connecting their PayPal accounts and/or accepting the new Buy on Google Terms & Conditions.
Reading carefully, however, it is clear that this may not necessarily be the very final notice to merchants as they will "get another chance" in the coming months.
Caveat here being that merchants will have their Buy on Google program paused should they not complete the process.
PAUSED? THAT MEANS NO MORE PRODUCTS LISTED ON GOOGLE!
Additionally, merchants will be responsible for any outstanding order fulfillment and refunds/returns should they go to the paused state.
